Wine – Beer – Cider – Spirits

There are so many fantastic wines in the Finger Lakes and so little time to enjoy them all. But for purposes of being the best source of information for our guests were are giving it our all. So far, we have managed 24 wineries on Seneca and 14 on Cayuga. (Some multiple times) In our resource center, you will find maps, tasting coupons and information. We will highlight an event or winery we have enjoyed on our Facebook page.

  • Finger Lakes Beer Trail

    • Kingdom Brewery & Distillery – just a stroll up Main Street from our Manor.
    • Cayuga Lake & Auburn Itinerary is 17 Brewing Companies, Ale & Lager Houses.
    • Eastern Seneca Lake Tasting is 11 locations which also include Watkins Glen and Elmira, NY
    • Seneca Lake Loop is the longest trail and requires two days with Ovid and Tillinghast manor being a perfect place to begin the journey

All itineraries and descriptions of the Brewing Companies can be found at www.fingerlakesbeertrail.com

  • Hard Cider

    •  The Finger Lakes are a perfect place for the blossoming Cider industry. When my son visits from Alaska, he makes sure to visit those closest to the Manor. There is an abundance of apple orchards and developing farm to bottle philosophy from many talented cider makers. You will find stand alone Cideries as well as a place for cider tasting in many of the Brewing Companies and Wineries. Unfortunately, there isn’t a cider trail map yet.

  • Distilling

There are two Distillers very close to Tillinghast Manor. We have frequented both and purchased their Bourbon and Gin.

  • What’s Wine Without Cheese?

The Finger Lakes Cheese Trail – If you are the designated driver, then stopping at some Creameries can be your reward. They are working family farms and are creating a variety of artisanal cheeses. We can also do a special cheese basket for you to enjoy. The two closest are:

    • Muranda Cheese Company at 3075 State Rte 96 South in Waterloo which is open 7 days a week year around.  www.murandacheese.com
    • Livley Run Goat Dairy is only open seasonly from May to October. You can take the farm tour at 2pm Monday to Saturday.  They are located at 8979 County Rd 142 Interlaken.  www.livelyrun.com

We also use their products in many of our brunch recipes.
